Obedience Classes
Beginner Obedience (Level 1)
This class focuses on household obedience. It teaches dogs to walk on a leash, come, stay, and be able to deal with new situations such as meeting other dogs and people. Level 1 classes are based upon teaching owners how to reinforce positive behaviors with the use of clicker and treats. Classes are taught by 2 instructors - Donna MacGlaughlin (Mondays) and Evelyn Sera (Tuesdays).
Intermediate Obedience (Level 2)
This class concentrates on walking on and off leash, retrieving on command, jumping, scent discrimination games, and staying with owner out of sight).
Competition Obedience
This class is to prepare purebred registered dogs to compete at Dog Show Obedience Trials.
Rally Obedience
Freestyle Obedience
Freestyle obedience is teaching a series of tricks to dogs using clicker and treats. From that the series of tricks can be choreographed to music (Dancing With Dogs). This class is Drop-In on Friday evenings taught by Donna MacGlaughlin. Donna introduces new tricks every second week. On alternating weeks participants have a chance to work on the tricks on their own. Donna is available for assistance.
